The real problem usually isn't a lack of options, it's that the thinking never turns into a move. A few things that work better than more deliberating:
1. Shrink the decision. Instead of "what should I do with my life," pick the smallest next action that would tell you something — a conversation, a trial week, a single application. Stuck tends to live in the big, vague version of the question.
2. Set a deadline you don't control. A real one — a deposit, a deadline someone else set, telling a friend you'll decide by Friday. Open-ended time is where stuck goes to live forever.
3. Expect the first move to be slightly wrong. Waiting for certainty before you act is usually just stuck wearing a disguise. Treat the first step as a test, not a commitment.
If it's been stuck for months rather than weeks, that's worth noticing too — sometimes "stuck" is actually "this isn't what I want" in disguise, and no system fixes that one but being honest about it.
I would make it a top priority to put all of my focus and energy into a fulfilling hobby or task that serves me. A lot of times the reason why we feel stuck is primarily because we spend much of our days doing things that actually drain us of our energy. For example, whenever you aim towards an important goal and take steps to achieve it only to realize that the steps you took aren't truly getting you any closer to your ultimate destination, that's usually a red flag that you're likely putting the cart before the horse. So instead of living each day in the moment, you're actually chasing a dream like a dog chasing its tail. When you do things that you're truly passionate about each and every step of the way you'll no longer feel stuck.
